BizBuySell has two websites that advertise businesses for sale.

Target Audience:
Those reading these articles will probably be people looking at different business options for purchase. Some, however, will be looking at the website because they want to sell a business. These articles will be the content at the top of each state-specific franchise page.

Unique Feature:

Most of these articles are being written in sets of two.  One article will be placed on www.bizbuysell.com.  The other will be placed on the company’s sister site, www.bizquest.com.  Each article in the set must be 100% unique and pass Copyscape for originality. This can be accomplished by changing the order of information in the articles as well as the basic wording.

Tone/Voice:

Informative

Keywords:

  • Please use each keyword one or two times.  Make sure keywords are evenly spread throughout both paragraphs.

Information:

  • The BizQuest website contains valuable information.
  • Data and data points – Use sparingly as we don’t want the content to become easily outdated. Please link 2 data sources in article.  Place remaining data sources just below the article labeled “sources:”
  • Make sure reputable sources are used for gathering data points.
    • Example:
      • http://ajed.assembly.ca.gov/keyinsightsintoinnovation
      • https://www.cacities.org/Resources/Learn-About-Cities/2011Cities-by-Population.aspx

Format:

  • List the state name found in column D followed by “franchise”. Then either BizBuySell or BizQuest in parenthesis.
    • Example Florida Franchise (BizBuySell).
  • Paragraph 1 – What does this state/franchise encompass? General introduction – this can mention some state-specific stats, similar to what is included on the businesses for sale state pages (https://www.bizbuysell.com/california-businesses-for-sale/).
    •  It can also mention any state-specific franchise related information that can be found – maybe one category of franchises is more popular in certain states?

    • A few of the categories available to search by can also be mentioned – this will help provide us a way to include internal links. These categories can be found when you click ‘modify search’ on the page (https://www.bizbuysell.com/california-businesses-for-sale/)

  • Paragraph 2 –

What to consider / more about owning a franchise – these will most likely be similar for all states/franchises, and that’s fine. The resources below may help. This will be helpful in providing users interested in franchises some overall information (see the ‘Franchise Info’ tab for reference on how this info was provided on the franchise categories: https://www.bizbuysell.com/franchise-for-sale/automotive-franchise/)

  • Avoiding getting too specific with stats. For example, instead of listing an exact number of websites/businesses, it might be better to use more general language like, ‘there are over a billion websites on the World Wide Web today and the numbers are expected to continue growing at a rapid pace…’  ‘the e-commerce and online auction industry is growing rapidly …

Additional Information

For any data sources used, we need sources to be cited, including having the exact data points linked to, or footnoted, with the url from where it was found. We would also like to make sure to use sources that are reliable/reputable – for example, a company site or a government site would be better than a site that seems to be an individual’s site (for example, the contact email provided may seem to be to a personal email).

Avoid getting too specific with stats. For example, instead of listing an exact number of websites/businesses, it might be better to use more general language like, ‘there are over a billion websites on the World Wide Web today and the numbers are expected to continue growing at a rapid pace…’  ‘the e-commerce and online auction industry is growing rapidly …’
