Summary Statement: This can be a paragraph, or show off your qualifications with bullets. As a tip, use keywords from the job description.

Skills Section: Use exact terms and phrases from the job ad you’re answering. This helps you get past job board bots.

Professional Experience: Stick to the classic, reverse-chronological list of jobs you’ve held. List the dates and location in the same format for each.

Education and Qualifications: Begin with either the highest level degree you’ve attained or the most relevant entry and work backward from there.

Emphasize your hospital or medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology. Follow the lead of the emergency room unit secretary resume template and include this information in your qualifications summary.

Many hiring managers prefer to receive them and favor candidates who possess them, so submit one even if it is not a requirement. Managers may not read it, but if they do, you may increase their interest in you as a candidate.

Remember that “one size fits all” does not apply to your letter. Tailor it to each job opening to avoid sounding generic and to show your enthusiasm for the specific position.

Just as our resume template for a business secretary shows you how to construct your own resume, cover letter writing resources can help you write and structure your letter. Build a matching cover letter today with these sources:
