For this project we will be developing content on web pages for DMV.org.
Launched in 1999, DMV.ORG was one of the first publishing sites on the Internet specifically designed to help drivers with DMV-related issues. Over 15 years later, we are now the largest driver-related site on the Web, helping over 1 billion visitors and counting.
- Web pages are usually the first interaction a company has with its customers. The content should contain:
- specific information that positions the company as experts in the industry.
- Content with substance — consumers can see right through fluffy content and will likely judge a company based on its copy.
Take the time to research the company and its services before starting to write so we can represent those companies effectively.
- The client wants the content to be VERY localized, so the pages must contain specific geographical content for the city.
Keywords:
- Use each keyword at least once, but no more than 2-3 times.
Format:
The client is looking for localized content about driver school locations that dmv.org advertises.
- in 100 – 150 words, please talk about the neighborhood, cross streets, landmarks, etc for the location you are assigned.
- Write in first person, as if you were the company.
- The custom content you create will be added to the URL given in column C.
- You will actually need to copy and paste the text from that page into your document, so that the final document contains both the existing content, as well as the content you create.
- Do NOT change the existing copy. You will simply be adding 150 words focused on the specific location.
-
Please use the following format:
-
- Page URL (found in Column C of the spreadsheet)
- Keywords
- H1 (Found in Column N of the spreadsheet)
- Copy first two paragraphs from URL given
- 100-150 words (1-2 paragraphs) of localized content
- Copy last three paragraphs, starting with “Completing a driver’s education course…”
-
- Please save the page as the company name found in the green header bar on the spreadsheet, followed by the page name.
- ex. “Rio SEO – DMV – Drivers Ed Schools and Training in Springfield Massachusetts”
