Click the link in column D, download and open the folder and rewrite the description that matches the name in column D. Follow the Example provided when rewriting the description.

Tone/Voice:

Conversational. Product descriptions should be written such that the customer feels they need the item. The description should be “sexy” and needs to capture the customer’s attention in the first sentence.

Keywords:

• Use each keyword once

Format:

• Mention features, benefits, brand name in the copy

Layout:

• Product Name (Column D, max 150 characters)
• 5 Bullet Points (max 150 characters each)
• Paragraph – the most complete and fun description possible with a minimum of 100 characters
  • For the Paragraph part of your description, please use HTML tags. It is as simple as adding <p> at the start of a new paragraph and </p> at the end of the paragraph. For subtitles, use <p><b> at the start of the title and </b></p> at the end. See the example tab to get a better idea of how this looks.

This is an example of an old description that was updated to meet South Shore Furniture’s preferences. As you can see, part of these descriptions (the last bullets), are relaying the same information. But mostly, the differences are :

• All the information have been condensed into fewer bullets. We now only have 5 bullets instead of 10-12 bullets
• The benefits are highlighted with capital letters and the features comes after
• The product description contains subtitles which make it easier for the consumer to read the description
